Palmya is a semi-mythical Caribbean island, a tropical paradise with a difference. It is a libertarian society with few rules or restraints, except one. To honour the natural beauty of the female body, women are forbidden to wear clothes.

Another concern often raised is from women who are shy about being photographed nude in public by strangers. Palmyra has strictly enforced privacy laws which make it an offence to harass women or to take lewd pictures. Indeed, quite a few celebrities have vacationed here because of our anti-Paparazzi laws. As it is likely that you will be photographed, treat it as a compliment. Nevertheless, insist on your privacy, and make a complaint – to the police or the venue owner – if you feel you are being pestered or abused.
